It’s been a week that I receive every day a good number of end-of-year emails and newsletters. They all have two things in common:
1- They read as an assessment of what happened and what was achieved in the past year.
2- They tackle 2020, a rather special year.
Reading so many of these emails – and the biggest part is yet to come – reminded me that I myself didn’t send any newsletter for a while. I also stopped posting anything in those Corona Diaries, and I feel quite bad about it. It is not that i didn’t try to come back to it several times, but it always seemed too much to handle. I’ve been somehow managing to constantly do other things rather than having some free time to sit and think of the situation.
Anyways, it’s been a week now that those incoming newsletters convinced me to do one of my own, in which I could share all the things I’ve been doing in the past 10 months, and to reflect on the evolution of my thoughts and emotions in the said period. Where to start was the question though. I’ve done so many things in 2020! Today, I’ve added one new achievement to my 2020 list, and I think it is the perfect starting point to look back on 2020, and to finish it in style: I just got the results of my first ever Covid 19 test, and it is positive.

These end-of-the-year-newsletters feel more obsolete than ever this year.
Not yours though. 🧡
So very sorry to read about your test result…
I am about to visit my family. Cannot even describe how torn and axious I feel about it.
Tell me about it. let’s hope end-of-2021-newsletters will have different topics.
