Life in global war times

Everyone is confined to home. All social encounters are banned. Supermarket shelves are empty. Fear is everywhere. This whole situation reminds me of the times of war.
But with two big differences: there is no bombs, and we are all in the same shit together.
It is quite an exciting experience we are living after all: for once the whole world has the same perspective on the foreseeable future.

On the day -to-day-news front, we decided to cancel tonight’s gig with Hal was Eh at Petersburg Art Space in Berlin, after two days of discussions with all the musicians involved. I think it is the best decision for the moment.
In replacement, I will record a new solo this evening and post it here.

Meanwhile, and in preparation of the long days to come, i wrote on two post-it some notes on what i could do in this unexpected free time. Looking again on these notes (below), i am quite scared; it looks worse than my worst work-overloaded months. Let’s hope i won’t have time to do all this and that this crisis will be finished soon – but not before i finish the website; it is due since 2008!

    1. nice idea. but even those “finally” strategies don’t work anymore with my poor brain. let’s see what i will finally do this time!

  1. im afraid to make my list, i like to drift too much. it will be a punishingly long and overwhelming list. edited some tape collage recordings, played some drums, read some pages in a few books, watched some shows, talked to my parents on speaker phone. went for a long walk with my sweets in the sunlight. still amazed how weird everything’s getting. i like your list.

    1. it is nice to make a to-do list with the things you already did! genius idea! cannot go wrong.
more seriously, i am also a drifter, but i like to convince myself i am in control. it happened many times that i remove a monthly to-do list two years after pinning it in front of me.
